My mate recently gifted a car to me a 2001 mgf, the car at sometime in its life as been treated to the diamondbrite finish, will i be ok to use my meguiars polisher on this finish ?, or will i spoil the finish in some way.
If i can use a product on this , what do you reccomend for me to use on it?, like i say the paintwork is in good order , but i would like to detail the car properly, any advice will be most welcome, the car colour is british raceing green

The product applied to the MGF is a sealant and full of fillers to hide any imperfections. Unless this product is regularly 'topped up', using their regular maintenance supplementry products, it is likely this sealant is no longer effective.

What I would recommend is a full decontamination of the paintwork, (tar, fallout remover and clay) followed by a good machine polish and then protected with a sealant or wax of your choice.

Raceglaze sell a small sample pot of their British Classic wax....a semi-hard buttery wax that would look awesome on British racing Green....a wax designed for such iconic British colours.
